Some cities have so many cars in them, and the air is so dirty that people wear masks every single day when they go out. They don’t have rules in the government about how much carbon monoxide cars are allowed to let off (emit).
Carbon monoxide can cause people to get really sick or even die. In fact, 80% of lung diseases are a result of car pollution. It is easy for children to get sick from carbon monoxide, so make sure that you are not in a place where you are breathing in the gases from a car.
