We are starting with a big word today: Biodiversity. This big word, in simple terms, is about the beautiful variety that exists in nature. We might really enjoy seeing a field full of different kinds of flowers, but what we’re going to learn today is that the variety of flowers is actually an important part of how nature works. In fact, nature loves variety in all its forms. For example, you might have one favorite kind of candy, but wouldn’t it be nice to choose from a whole box filled with every kind of candy in the world?
